Who we are
Redemption Mission House is a faith-based transitional residence for men leaving prison, work-release programs, or rehabilitation. Our mission is to disciple men and help them build new lives. Through the study of God’s Word, we teach them to apply its principles in their daily lives. Our program includes transitional living, career building, mentoring, and sober living.
How the house started
As former inmates, we knew we wanted to give back by helping men build a better future and embrace a second chance. The idea took shape over lunch at a café in 2023. A close friend who provided housing for women suggested opening a home for men because our community lacked one. Because our rental company already had suitable housing available, we were able to launch the program without a major upfront investment.
What the program is
First the program is about discipleship, teaching men how to become men of GOD and apply the word of GOD to their lives. Secondly, we help them get all appropriate documents to get them established and employed. Thirdly, we teach them life skills about housekeeping, finances, and relationships.
What happens inside the house
Each man is assigned a room. New residents share the larger room. Every Tuesday, residents attend a mandatory meeting to share how GOD is working in their lives. Residents must attend church services when they are not working.
Who runs the house
Deliberately thin. She cut the executive staff and board page, and that decision stands. A short line about who to contact is enough here, and it is hers to write.
