“to be used to improve, maintain, operate and support hospital and other health care facilities in the District, including but not limited to repairing existing facilities, acquiring equipment, and otherwise supporting the provision of hospital services”
In plain terms:
In 2024, the residents of this District made a ten-year commitment to the future of healthcare in our community. The millage is expected to raise about $3,443,827 a year across the parish. After other public entities take their statutory share, roughly $3.2 million of that reaches the District each year, or about $32 million over the life of the millage. This page exists so you can always see exactly how that commitment is being honored, project by project and dollar by dollar.
